Clay Pigeon Shooting

Simulated game shooting is the ideal way to maintain your eye in the off-season. It is also a great day out for friends and family who want an exciting activity. Your experience will be very similar to a real game day but without the feathers; stood on the peg, we are confident you will gain the same adrenaline rush as the targets start flying overhead. There are a full variety of clays in the air allowing the most experienced gun to be stood next to a novice.

Availability

Pentillie Castle and Estate - Cornwall

Making use of the estates steep sided valleys 5 picturesque pheasant drives are run. Dates available throughout May, June and early July for teams of 16 guns (8 shoot while the partner loads) switching mid-drive. A snack lunch in the field is enjoyed by all with a lunch in the Castle at the end of the day to discuss the days hits and misses. This is a thoroughly enjoyable day. Cost is £270 per gun (inc. VAT).

Salisbury

Located between Salisbury and Shaftesbury this simulated shoot provides the ideal location to test your skills over 5 drives during the off season. Dates available from mid April to mid August for teams of 10 to 18 guns. A snack lunch in the field is enjoyed by all. This is a thoroughly enjoyable day. Cost is £250 per gun (inc. VAT).

The Valleys Estate - Dorset

Located in the deep valleys of North Dorset partridge, pheasant and grouse drives are replicated. With a mixture of standard and mini clays flying over head in unpredictable flushes even the most seasoned gun will be tested by these magnificent birds. With teams of 6-12 guns (6 shoot while partner loads) each drive is shot twice to ensure all guns get equal time on the peg. The day is run as a normal driven day with breakfast provided upon arrival prior to drawing pegs, elevenses in the field and a meal afterwards is served in the Shoot Lodge. There is no better way to warm up for the season or to have a day out with friends. Cost is £250 per gun based on a team of 10 inclusive of all food and refreshments

Yorkshire Shoot - North Yorkshire

Taking advantage of the spectacular North Yorkshire Moors 6 picturesque drives have been created. Dates available throughout the year for teams, ranging from 8 to 24 guns (guns paired up so that one shoots while the other loads) switching mid-drive. A snack lunch in the field is enjoyed by all with a meal at the local pub at the end of the day to discuss the days hits and misses. Cost is £200 per gun.

Ashbourne Estate - Sussex

Why not test your skills on both clay shooting and fly fishing in the same day. We are pleased to be able to offer the fun and relaxed 'McClayDougal'. This consists of driven clay shooting in the morning with the odd coloured clay (representing a cock bird) which needs to be hit to start the challenge. Following lunch you  will tie a fly using a pre-supplied tail feather (tuition given). Then attempt to catch a trout on your fly. Each participant who completes the challenge will recieve a prize. Cost £180 per person (plus VAT), parties to consist of 6-8 people. Please look at our game shooting availability for the same challenge but with live game birds.
