Stalking history

Stalking, the stealthy pursuit of deer on foot has been around since Norman times. Initially purely for the meat but now as a sport. This was originally only carried out with the permission of royalty due to all deer and game belonging to the king. Packs of hounds known as deer hounds were used to chase the deer from the cover of the woods into the open where they were killed with bows. Since the early 1800's following the development of the cartridge rifles were introduced due to their accuracy and killing capabilities. This developed into what we now know as 'deer stalking'. We aim to provide you with the outing you wanted in a humane and ethical manor.
